CityFix ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, web dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you are an administrator, we also store your role and department assignment.

Report Data

When you submit a report, we collect:

• A title and description of the infrastructure issue
• Photographs of the issue (stored as encoded image data)
• GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) of the reported location
• The category of the issue (e.g., pothole, broken streetlight, graffiti)
• Timestamps for submission and updates

Waitlist Information

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address to notify you when CityFix launches.

Analytics Data

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymized usage data, including page views, referral sources, and general device information. This data does not personally identify you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process and manage infrastructure reports
• Assign reports to the appropriate city departments for resolution
• Track the status of reports and notify you of updates
• Communicate with you about your account and the Service
• Send waitlist notifications when CityFix launches
• Improve and optimize the Service through anonymized analytics

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

• City administrators — Report data (including location and photos) is visible to authorized city staff for the purpose of resolving reported issues.
• Service providers — We use Firebase (Google Cloud) for data storage and authentication, and Vercel for hosting and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations.

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud Platform), which employs industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We implement appropriate administrative and technical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Report data is retained indefinitely to maintain a historical record of infrastructure issues. Waitlist emails are retained until you request removal. You may contact us at any time to request deletion of your data.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict the processing of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

7. Children's Privacy

CityFix is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
